Songs for a Sunday Morning

The Punters are versatile, talented artists who perform with style and proficiency. Whether they are delivering a traditional folk tune or their melodic and insightful originals, their performances are always powerful and entertaining.

With this recording, Songs For A Sunday Morning, they now have five recordings under their belt since 1996 (The Punters, Said She Couldn’t Dance, Will You Wait and Fisherman’s Blues). All four CDs were met with critical acclaim.

Their newest CD, which was produced by Alan Doyle of Great Big Sea, showcases the band in a stripped down, more acoustic and intimate recording. It features new songs that are pure treasures as well as some older traditional songs and their trademark instrumental tunes.

Selections on the CD include: Slip Jigs and Reels, Ladies Man, Shores of Americay, Take Her In Your Arms, Higher Degree, Two Lovely Black Eyes, Southern Shore Queen, From Clare To Here, Pussycats Up In Plum Trees, Adieu Sweet Lovely Nancy, One Starry Night.
